First Choice Kid Care engaged Brian Joseph Studios to conduct a comprehensive accessibility audit and remediation of this website. The project was completed in April 2025 and included the following:

  • Automated scanning using Google Lighthouse, WAVE, and axe DevTools
  • Manual testing using ANDI for heading structure and landmark regions
  • Manual keyboard-only navigation testing across all page templates
  • Screen reader spot-checking using NVDA and VoiceOver
  • Remediation of all identified failures including color contrast, missing alt text, heading structure, form label associations, keyboard focus, navigation landmark regions, and ARIA attributes
  • Accessibility updates to custom PHP shortcodes for provider listings, location listings, and news post listings
  • Full header markup rebuilt for keyboard operability, focus management, and screen reader compatibility

Following remediation, this website achieved a Google Lighthouse Accessibility score of 100 out of 100 on both Desktop and Mobile, with no contrast errors detected by WAVE.
